I’ve grown up eating this as my favorite snack. And now my family and friends love it.
Ingredients
Boiled and roughly mashed potatoes 4 big
Green peas 1 medium bowl- you can adjust the quantity
Pavbhaji masala - 1-2 tablespoons
Onion -1 big finely chopped
Ginger - 1 inch grated
Garlic - 3 cloves finely chopped/ grated
Green chilies-5-6 chopped
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida/ Hing - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
Oil 2-3 tablespoons
Chopped Cilantro
Salt
Steps
Heat up oil in pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, turmeric powder. Then add grated ginger, garlic. Then add chopped green chilies. Sauté for 1 min and add finely chopped onion. Cook until it turns golden/ transparent. Then add pavbhaji masala and mashed potatoes. Cook everything nicely. Add salt as per taste. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Take pastry sheet.(I prefer Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry)
Cut 1 sheet in 6 rectangular pieces.
Add the potato stuffing and seal the edges with little water/ milk.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Keep the puffs inside and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with tomato ketchup.
